| Introduction | Like most people in Florida, I'm from somewhere else. Not that it matters, but I'm from Washington, D.C., which is where I first learned that Speech isn't free. Neither is religion, nor gathering to redress grievances against the government. In fact, it is where I learned that the Bill of Rights may be the most dangerous document ever written, and if you doubt it for a moment, just run over to your local elementary school during the next PTA meeting, wave your bible around and tell the assembled citizens you want to set up a Nativity scene on the front lawn of the school during the Christmas season. You will learn just how "free" you really are. |
