| Introduction | My name's Holly Shaw and I'm 22 years old... I recently graduated from my Early Childhood Studies Degree and now work as a Qualified Nursery Nurse which I love. At the beginning of 2005 I was diagnosed with Kidney failure and dialysed 3 x a week for 4 years. I received my new kidney on 25th October 2008. It truly is the gift of life and thanks to the generosity of my donor and their family I will be able to fulfill some of my dreams. I am passionate about raising awareness of the chronic shortage of Organ Donors in the UK. I am a Trustee for the transplant charity Live Life Then Give Life and run my own campaign called The Gift of Life. My family are a huge support to me, I am truly grateful and love them lots, but it is thanks to my Donor I am here to do all this x |
