| Introduction | I am at different times and in different places a mom to 3 kids, a wife of almost 20 years to Leo, a physician, a teacher, a friend, and a woman in her mid 40s who is enjoying the ride that is life. My role in our family and on this trip is that of "base camp manager", intrepid leader, cheerleader, cook, launderer and home school teacher. I do better at some of those roles on certain days than others. I am also settling into the role of main blogger for the family, which I have begun to really enjoy. I am using this blog as a way to capture some of our experiences and memories for us to enjoy when we are back to our "regular" lives. I hope others will be able to follow along to get a taste of what we are up to, so far from home. |
| Interests | my kids, enjoying meals at home with friends around our table, camping, relearning how to play the cello, disappearing into a book, swimming, snorkeling, family medicine, geriatrics, baking, traveling, and in a prior chapter of life, I enjoyed putting thoughts down on paper in various forms. |
