| Introduction | I began making unique beaded jewelry in 2001 to help fill the jewelry cases of a gift shop and holistic healing center I co-owned in Dobbs Ferry, New York. My work earned immediate praise from customers, who especially liked my unusual choice of beads and stone combinations. From these small beginnings my love of beautiful things, a high sense of style and innate creativity quickly transformed from a bead and jewelry addiction into a growing handcrafted jewelry business. Today, I specialize in one-of-a-kind Sterling silver and gemstone creations using a variety of wireworking techniques. When I'm not making jewelry, I go to my real job (which I also love!) of teaching choir, drama and music history to junior high and high school students. Today, Tess' work has evolved into more intricate wire work, including handmade chains, links, focal forms and closures. From the beginning, she has only created jewelry from natural materials out of respect for Mother Earth and the environment. Tess lives with her beautiful daughter and their two ferocious felines in central Ohio. When she is not making jewelry, Tess teaches vocal music and drama at a local high school. |
