| Introduction | I was born in San Diego and have lived in the county for a total of 30 years. I went to college at SDSU and during my time at State, I developed a taste for microbrews. This fortunate event was actually thrust upon me by my mooching roommates. When I first moved in, I would buy a case of Coors Light (Yes, I know... please don't hold it against me... we all started somewhere, right?) and within a day or two it would be gone (having only had 6 or so myself). As there was no reciprocity of them buying for me to mooch, I took it upon myself to broaden my tastes to more exotic beers. This had the desired effect, curbing their mooching due to their unevolved tastes. But, just like every species on Earth, the moochers evolved to take advantage of the environment they were presented with. I had to evolve faster and push the boundaries of my tastebuds. Luckily for me this was about the time that microbrews began to hit the liquor stores. My heavenly journey into the realm of the craft brew had begun... |
