| Introduction | I have been carving since I was a young boy. My dad was always working in his shop at home and I would watch him make wonderful things out of wood. I have been carving birds of all kinds for 30 years. My favorites are birds of prey. I try to give each piece I do some character, and a realism in the way they present themselves. No two carvings are the same. I have been in many competitions, shows, demonstrations and presentations to various groups. I have sold many carvings from small birds to a full size statue of the "Risen Christ" for the church. I really enjoy creating something out of a piece of wood. I prepare for each carving by studying the subject, researching the internet, reading books and in going into the wild. |
