| Introduction | Christian and Tanja met while slipping and sliding through the deep canyons of Zion National Park, almost a year ago today (July 4th, 2009) and have been happily playing, eating, relaxing, yoga-ing and exploring their way between the San Francisco and Monterey Bay areas and beyond, ever since. After 5 years in the corporate construction trade, Christian recently decided to take that leap of faith -one that so many only daydream about around the watercooler- and has gone on an extended "leave of absence" from his job to live life for himself for a while. This trip is the first leg of his journey and a pretty fun thing for Tanja to do over summer vacation! So on June 22, the day after the official start of summer (Solstice), we're packing up the truck with our mountain bikes, climbing gear, camping equipment and heading east... this is an on-going account, ramble, journal of our trip as it shakes, rattles and rolls through the southwestern states... please leave your comments, suggestions and well wishes, we would LOVE to hear from you :) |
