| Introduction | I am passionate about people andventuring into the unknown. The possibilities and answers to the "what if" statement in people's minds fuels me. I am constantly thinking of new ways of working together, the exothermic energy given off when people work together intrigues me. I am very excited about young people around the world (and more so, South Africa) who are making a difference around themselves irrespective of their background and circumstance. It is important to me to showcase those young people and hence exemplify their actions, create a space where young people can speak about their challenges and subsequently provide solutions to the challenges we face. Ultimately, learning is at the heart of everything I do. I believe that one needs to be given an experience to induce learning. I believe that all change comes through people thinking and acting differently. Learning plays a key role in changing how people think and act. I also believe that before change happens outwardly the first thing that we need to change are the conversations that we have with ourselves. I focus on learning and people as actors because for me that is where the ultimate power lies. |
