| Introduction | I am a thirtysomething Catholic living in New York City. I am trying to live my life the way God intends in a world that makes it very difficult. I have a wife and two children and a steady job. During the times in my life when I have forgotten God, a true sense of emptiness existed in my very being. This blog is my attempt to make sense of my experiences, focusing on local parish life, politics, and 21st century culture that despises religion and any expression of piety. I have flirted with evangelical churches in the past, as well as with agnosticism. Yet, God always brings me back to the Catholic Church, which is my true home and always will be. |
