| Introduction | 95% sunshine, butterflies, and rainbows, 5% pissed off. But the pissed off really has a bite. I started writing open letters online in high school when I wrote to the corpse of J.R.R. Tolkien and made a marriage proposal, as I was sure the only man I'd ever want to marry would be a dead one. So far, it remains true. Since then, I have adopted the practice and moved it from my facebook to this blog that I've had since God was a boy but have never used. I also still send handwritten letters to friends, families, strangers, and other peoples pets. It has neither improved my penmanship, my grammar, my spelling, nor my gross overuse of commas and dashes. And believe it or not, some people still pay me to write. |
