Introduction I am an adjunct professor at the Osaka University Institute of Social and Economic Research, and Professor Emeritus of economics at NCSU in Raleigh, North Carolina, where I taught for 30 years. I am the author of The Japanese Economy, Oxford U Press, 2e, 2005, and editor of the M.E. Sharpe journal The Japanese Economy. This blog is my personal reflection on things of interest to me.
Interests In 2008 I moved to Japan and now live in Kyoto (in a ninth floor apartment on Kamanza Dori) with wife Toyomi and miniature daschund Loki.
