| Introduction | After forty years service I retired as a US Army museum curator. I have moved with my Darling Companion from Alabama to a new community eight miles west of Marlow, OK, on the Great Plains called Central. I can see the sun come up over the horizon ten miles away and see it go down 40 miles away. I love it. I have resumed beating dead cowhide into submission with some success. I have built my shop built so I can get out of Darling Companion’s way in the kitchen. By some bizarre quirk I have become one of the chief cooks at my church’s monthly spaghetti dinner. I was given my own key to the church. I’ll bet that some of you that have known me for many years would have never guessed that that would happen! It is beastly difficult to open a beer with it, but I keep practicing. |
