| Introduction | Welcome to the site! Nuclean Economy is an attempt to build a basis for an effective and accurate Economics, following the failure of the formal academic discipline to make any positive contribution to the resolution of the crisis that followed the 'credit crunch' for which economists - along with actuaries, lawyers and dealers and their bosses- bear a primary responsibility. D B Scowles is a very transparent nom-de-plume: I once lived in Fenicsowles, Lancashire. I use this name for my fiction to make a clear distinction from the other stuff. Writing novels has relieved many hours of what would otherwise have been boozy boredom in airport lounges and hotel bedrooms around the world. The two stories that are available direct to the public from this site invite the reader to react in a way that a paper book cannot achieve.
