| Introduction | For the first two years of my life, I lived at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, the daughter of conductor, composer and recording artist Chick Floyd and Allene floyd. I grew up around Hawaiian musicians and entertainers, giving me a deep appreciation of the cultures, beauty, dance and spirit of Aloha that filled so many of the songs. I have worked in public service in Hawaii most of my life: as a legislative aide, a volunteer fundraiser, a member of Kalanianaole Highway task force, planner and emcee for Hawaii State Ball, and for Ann Kobayashi's Domestic Violence Awareness initiative. I am running for City Council District Four because I believe I can lead the way toward making a difference through hard work, practical solutions, a focused approach and straight talk that gets right to the point. |
