| Introduction | I was born into a life of adventure. I didn't have a choice. I grew up in blended family of seven siblings with parents who, only by an act from on high, made it through somewhat scathed but still together after raising the Mighty Seven into adulthood, marriages and having babies. I also have the best husband a girl could dream up and now a gorgeous baby girl. I believe we are all born into a life of adventure when we simply embrace this bumpy road and chose to move forward into the future rather than allow ourselves to be paralyzed by fear or stuck looking behind us. I will do my best not to swear, curse or be crude. But in reality life is crude. I frequently find that beauty, inspiration, learning and great stories are borne from the miserable, raw moments of life. I vow to be honest and uninhibited because what is there to gain from holding back the gritty details? Don't we all have grit to face? And no one should have to go through this life alone. I may embellish sometimes for the pure sake of comedy. But if laughter is the best medicine I'm sure you won't mind. Laughing at life's insanity is what gets me through. Choosing insanity is what pushes me forward. |
