| Introduction | I like to follow my interests which has led me to work and play across the boundaries of science, technology, media and the arts, as a producer, curator, science communicator, festival programmer and change facilitator.
Over the past four years i have been inspired to be more reflective, i guess this stems from an interest in research and knowledge creation... because basically my worst fear is knowing nada... and actually maybe its time to DO something with that knowledge - make a difference - contribute to a world that i'd like to live in and be part of and by exploring the connections and interconnections between the people, places and knowledge objects that i encounter, i can learn, interact and make a difference. My research background includes: a PhD in neuroscience, a 2-year NESTA fellowship to explore new ways to communicate science to diverse publics and action research into creative teaching and learning through Creative Partnerships Greater Manchester and the engage enquire programme. Favourite things: storytelling, lego, rubiks cubes, chocolate, films, lo-fi technology, interplay between polar opposites e.g. theory and practice, you and me |
