| Introduction | I have been a Registered Veterinary Technician for over 23 years. During that time I have seen and learned so much about veterinary medicine. In 2002 I began teaching veterinary assisting for the San Diego County Office of Education. After several years I decided to compile the 'essentials' of veterinary medicine into a user friendly manual. The Veterinary Assisting Essential Book of Knowledge is a concise resource for anyone interested in veterinary medicine. The first book is devoted to companion animals and a second book, in the works, will cover exotic animals including horses, livestock, pocket pets, birds and reptiles.
