| Introduction | Our Zendo is now at 2718 Campbell, the SE corner with Baltimore, in the Kern Place Neighborhood near the university. All are welcome. Our regular services are Sunday mornings, at 10AM, but the doors open at 9:30AM for orientation, conversation, tea and coffee. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the bell rings at 10AM. At 9:30 for orientation, especially if you are a newcomer to practice. Wednesday evenings at 6:00PM, we have one hour practice of “Just Sitting.” In other words, a sangha member is present to open the door, perhaps light a stick of incense and ring the bell, but that’s it. Practitioners are welcome to come and sit for as long as they feel comfortable and leave in silence. Please follow us on Facebook for upcoming events, additions and changes to the schedule. Our practice is rooted in the Soto lineage. Our lead teachers are Bobby Kankin Byrd and Paul Maitra Shurro Schroder. Soon we hope to launch our website to more fully describe our community. For more information, call Bobby Byrd at 915-241-3140, or write him at bbyrd@cincopuntos.com. |
