About me

Introduction I grew up in a series of small towns all over South Texas, which left me with an undying love for frito pie and a lifelong fear of rattlesnakes (hundreds of them writhing around in pits during a "Rattlesnake Roundup" does not make for a good childhood memory!). My current home in central New York lacks either frito pies or rattlesnakes. The local farmers' markets and u-pick farms and orchards make up for the lack of frito pies, though. When I'm not savoring the local produce, I'm a textbook development editor and contributor with a sideline love for sewing, felting, knitting, papercrafts, and creating of all kinds. I share this love for creating with my three kids, and I try to keep its mess under control for my husband, with limited success.
