| Introduction | Thanks for checking out "Laying Down the Law." I am an attorney at the law firm of Clark & Trevithick in Los Angeles, California (www.clarktrev.com). You can reach me at 213.629.5700 or dolson@clarktrev.com. I graduated from the University of Delaware in 1983 (go Blue Hens) and from the University of Southern California Law Center in 1986. While at SC Law, I served as a Notes Editor on the USC Law Review. I am the only attorney who has both appeared as a comic on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (what a blast) and been named by California Law Magazine as one of California's lawyers of the year (what an honor). I am sure that makes me uniquely qualified for something, and I will let you know when I figure out what that something is! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the blog and find it useful.
