| Introduction | Having previously taught fifth grade and third grade for several years, I can say with absolute certainty that I have found my heart in preschool. I love the eagerness to learn. I love the passion for familiar and new interests. I love the mess. I love the drama (well, most of the time). I love the child who runs into school every day. I love the child who started the year in tears and now expresses his desire for more days of school. I love the artistic expression and endless creativity. I love the lightbulb moments. I love the friendships. I love the inattention to the many rules of the world.I love the raw emotions. I love the uncontested hope for the future. Did I mention I love the mess? Most of all, I love learning from preschoolers and their families every single day. |
