| Introduction | Our day to day--our life--our family--, was turned upside down three days ago when our little peanut was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. We knew the higher risk she would be facing for AML after going through a transient type of leukemia as an infant, but we hoped we would never watch, eyes glazed, almost unconnected from this world as doctors sat down next to us to say, "it is leukemia". Your heart, your mind just start to shut off as you start to process what they are saying. You begin to unglaze--for only a brief moment--and realize that this is going to be an intense and arduous journey. One with hardships and suffering and many unknowns. Yet with the lens of our faith, we know we are not alone and the suffering is not in vain--for we are tenderly protected under His mercy and love. |
