Introduction I have a wide range of interests, mostly centered around Earth Sciences, Marine Biology, Geology, Photography and Travel. My wanderlust was whetted while I was in the Navy. I was home ported in Pearl Harbor, where I served on the USS Swordfish(SSN 579), a nuclear powered Submarine. I was able to travel to Guam(best diving I'd ever done), Korea, the Phillipines, and Japan. I invested in an incredible camera and various lenses, took extensive classes and worked in the darkroom for weeks on end. I was able to combine all my passions at one time, cumulating in marrying the most incredible person I've ever met. We are currently enjoying our 29th year together. We were fortunate enough to explore Italy for 3 weeks and once again the travel bug bit hard. We have just sent our eldest daughter to Scotland for 5 months of Study Abroad at the Glasgow School of Art. We are hoping to send the 2nd to visit during Spring break. Hence, the vicarious traveling. We travel through our children at this stage in our lives.

The first time you had your shoes taken off - how surprised were you to see that you still had toes?

Wait...I have toes? Shoes can be taken off? I thought I was born with these! I would be more suprised if I took off my shoes and my toes weren't there. And where would they go? Now I'm afraid to take off my gloves. Don't get me started about the phobia I now have about taking off my hat...
