| Introduction | The Gallows Station is a free-form internet novel that features characters, events and places from my 'FJD' series. The story is open-ended and takes the form of the thoughts and diaries of the main protagonist, the psychologically damaged and remorseful Senior Executioner Elenna Pointer. Elenna is employed by the repressive police state of Council Britain as a poorly paid, lowly civil servant. Her often blackly humorous observations pertain to the strife, boredom and escalating political instability of life at the sharp end, although she writes of events over which she often has no control. The story complements my series of traditional novels and thus stands as a companion to the series. I hope that you enjoy the story and I welcome any and all comments (except spam, of course!). Yours ever, Steve. 'The Gallows Station' is copyright 2012 by the author, Stephen Leese. |
