| Introduction | I am a poker enthusiast. Being able to put it all on the line for a single card is what drives me to play. I play a home cash game every week (going on one year), I also play in a local poker league, and throw in some tournaments at the casino and you'll have my poker routine. I specifically play Texas Hold 'Em, but also play the occasional game of Stud, Badugi, or other games of poker. General consensus states that in 2003 is when the "Poker Bubble" exploded, with the win of Chris Moneymaker in the WSOP main event. I was playing way before that, though not at the level I do now. I recall the first time I played in a game/tournament with other people other than my friends. I was shaking, didn't know what to do... Then I won my first pot, I thought to myself, "you've done this a hundred times, what's there to be nervous about?". I ended up taking 2nd in that tournament, from then on, I knew I loved the game. |
