| Introduction | I set up my record label, Chopstick Records in 2020. The whole idea was born from the absolute passion and life long love for hardcore tunes in general, but along the way I've discovered and fell in love with Japanese bands. Japanese hardcore, in my opinion, is one of the greatest scenes out there. Almost everything I get to hear from Japan is somehow next level genius. My idea for the label is all about putting out killer releases, whether it’s rare reissues or new stuff from hardcore, punk, crust, grindcore, and oi! scenes. Small runs, sick artwork, nothing mass produced, just real deal passion. But above all, I want to support new bands and emerging artists. This blog is where I publish interviews I've done with Japanese musicians and others involved in the scene, originally for my social media. It’s also a space for related articles, album reviews, maybe an occasional rant, and anything that helps spread the love for Japanese hardcore to this side of the world. |
