IntroductionMy appreciation for Pilates began years ago after the birth of my children. Pilates was a form of exercise that I could do anywhere at anytime. Pilates not only changed my body by creating longer and leaner muscles, but it has allowed me to accomplish things that I never thought possible. About 3 years after I became dedicated to pilates, I began running. Having never been a runner, I was able to jump right into the sport due to the breathing techniques that I learned through pilates and a stronger core allowed me more strength. I have gone on to complete many races, ranging from 5K’s to 34 mile Ultra races. I believe this is something that I would never have accomplished without the benefits of pilates. Today, I teach and share my love for this exercise with all types of people, all with different goals. Some want to improve their running, tennis or golf game, to change the look and feel of their bodies, to stay toned and strong. Whatever the reason, I enjoy teaching this amazing form of exercise. With dedication and determination, Pilates can change the way you play your sport and it can give you a stronger, leaner, more defined body.
