Industry Communications or Media
Occupation Freelance Writer
Location Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Introduction After completing a BA Hons Fashion Design in the UK, I worked in the London fashion industry for eight years before returning to Australia in 2007. After moving to Melbourne, I embarked on a career shift from retail buying to freelance writing in 2009. When I finished my last retail buying job, my colleagues presented me with several gorgeous leaving gifts, one of which was a pink kikki.K notebook, which I write in daily. My love for fashion has never faded and my passion for writing has been extended to the arts (Trouble Magazine) and culture (WeekendNotes). In July 2012 I moved to Canberra, where I am currently based, and continue to write. When I'm not writing, you'll find me enjoying a run around one of Canberra's beautiful parks (with my 2-year-old-daughter) and seeking out Canberra's best coffee and cheesecake haunts with my family. These pages are an indulgent combination of writing and my interest in the arts. After completing a freelance writing course through Cengage and The Australian College of Journalism (2009-2010), and subsequent copywriting and editing courses through RMIT and CAE Melbourne, my journey continues with a blog, a laptop… and a little pink book.
