Occupation Research Professor
Location Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico
Introduction I have lived in Greece, Germany, Canada, Maryland (USA), Mexico and in the UK. Public school education from Greece (with one year in Canada, which influenced me to choose Biology). Undergraduate studies at University of Patras - Department of Biology; PhD at the Max-Planck Insitute for Biophysical Chemistry in conjuction with the University of Guelph; Post-doc at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (and a short one at the Institute of Neurobiology of the UNAM). Lecturer of Cell Biology at QMUL from 2007-2012. I opposed the sacking of Robin Maytum in 2009, and since then I have found QMUL management unwilling to support me in any way or form. In June 2012 I was dismissed in a sham restructuring process, and I moved my lab at the CINVESTAV of the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico City.
