| Introduction | What can I tell you? My life’s arc has taken me roughly from Point A to Point A and a Half—from the suburbs of New York City to the suburbs of Washington, DC. In a bit more than half a century on this planet, I’ve touched down in all of three foreign countries: Canada, Iceland and Japan. But I do travel in my mind—ruminating on matters big and small, within and beyond my realm of direct experience. Which brings me to this blog.
