| Introduction | I have been a single mother since my daughter was nearly four and I have worked hard to provide for us both over many years. Now that she has started at university it is time for me to take a gap year and explore how I really feel about life and what I want out of it. Rather than having to do things to make ends meet! I have also been working in an environment that makes me doubt human nature at times so I wanted to travel to meet interesting intelligent people who will stimulate my thoughts about life. Rather than feeling bullied into what I must say and do. Thankfully my work has allowed me to have a gap year to go travelling. My brother died of lung cancer earlier this year, he was only 53 and that hit me hard, it made me realise just how easily life can be take away from us. It was a good motivation for me to get off my backside and do the trip that I had always dreamed of doing. |
