Introduction	This blog is a long time in the making. I am first generation American. My parents immigrated here from Sicily in the 70's. I didn't know what take out was until I got to high school. We never went out to eat. Dinner was always at home and usually consisted of Pasta, then some kind of meat, salad, vegetable. No dessert - just espresso. Our meals were always simple. My mother didn't own any recipe books. It was always a little of this, a little of that. Nothing deep fried, no heavy sauces, no creams...just basic simple and fresh ingredients. Now that I am married and feeding my own family. I am trying to do the same all while trying to tempt the palates of 2 toddlers. Join me on my culinary adventure. You will be introduced to my family and their love of food.
