Introduction Educators are the second most important individuals in our society next to parents. Dedicating your life to educating the young and the not-so-young is a calling and an extraordinary profession. I have been an educator for over 36 years; 18 as a classroom teacher and athletics coach, 18 as an administrator. Throughout my career, I have held virtually every position from a teacher, coach, principal, special education director, assistant superintendent, superintendent, adjunct lecturer, and currently a consultant working for the New York State Regents Research Fund (Principal Preparation Initiative). A Central Office must develop a team of marines to fill its ranks of teachers, staff, and administrators. Highly trained, fully engaged, who understand and act independently to adapt and execute the world-class education system we demand. To that end, I wrote,The Superintendent's Rulebook (Routledge, Taylor & Francis, 2018) a book centered on leadership theory and crafted in the day to day life of an education leader. The pages that follow are an open invitation to enjoy the celebration of leadership education.
