IntroductionI am growing up slowly. I enjoyed being a child, and I'm going to enjoy that for as long as possible. That possibly contributes to my love of teaching and children...and possibly my lovely boyfriend, Bear (teehee) Who is finishing his degree in Leeds :( I like to be surrounded by the people I love. I'm not a fan of my own company, unless I have a really good book on the go. On the 4th of September the autumn term begins. I will be teaching for the first time. My class will be Reception class, who are 4yrs old when they start. I am writing this blog for a number of reasons. First and foremost is to keep myself sane; although I have wanted to do this for many years and am ecstatic that I have achieved this goal, I know how tough and stressful it can get at times, but I also know that it's all worth it - I just need to be reminded occasionally. The other major reason is to amuse: One of the joys of teaching this age group is that they are just picking up the ins and outs of the language, and tend to come out with some hilarious comments. Those, along with the usually amusing attics of the classroom, I shall try to share with anyone who cares to read.
InterestsReading, Talking, Writing - poetry/sci-fi/children's fiction, Pets. I've also just taken up yoga, although judging by how much it hurt, I'm not sure how good I'm going to be at it!
