Introduction	I am a stay-at-home mother of two kids L (7) and J (2), and I homeschool L. We have a STEAM focus, and use project based learning for most of our education. L says that she wants to be a scientist when she grows up, so we try to incorporate as much science as possible into our days. We are very active at our local library, going weekly for a computer programming class and family game night, and monthly for Lego club. We have a family membership for our local children's museum and aquarium, and try to have regular field trips there. L is also a yellow belt in taekwondo. We decided to start a blog to share with our family and friends so that they can keep up with our educational adventures!
Favorite books	These are our family favorites: The George's Secret Key to the Universe series by Lucy and Stephen Hawking (currently reading George's Cosmic Treasure Hunt), Rosie Revere, Engineer by Andrea Beaty, The Sir Cumference series of math adventures, the Usborne series of Shakespeare books, any kind of diy or engineering books!
