| Introduction | Well let me introduce myself, my name is Kate Rogers or born as Katherine Ameila Mary Sybilla Rogers but I don't expect you to say that everytime you greet me! The reason for the name ask my old folks. I've always lived in somerset but family is originally from Devon and now live in Glastonbury which I'm extremely fond off and very inspirational. So this means i'm very much a country girl. I'm a fashion student, of which I'm loving, and gaining more and more experience day by day! My love of fashion started early on with parents having a designer children's wear shop then moving from a shop to just going to fairs around Somerset selling vintage clothing. Thats where the vintage clothing craze came from! So from then on I've been helping sell vintage clothing at many fairs, and really enjoying every minute of it. I love how when you walk into one its has a back in time feeling about it. Apart from my vintage craze I also love antiques, going to many car boot sales and flea markets. |
| Interests | Being a country girl i do love being out and about in the outdoors, apart from sometime this does not happen as the English weather is not all that kind. So having the fire lit at home in our country cottage is equally good. Also as you probably know already I do love clothes and fashion, which have been a major part of my life, as well as being brought up with an antique dealer, to make you love the world of 'oldness'. This brought me into loving vintage and antique fairs, enjoying even buying or just wondering around in my own world getting inspiration. |
| Favorite movies | Films with me are quite random as they depend on mood quite like my taste in music. But at the moment I'm loving (well always have really) the good old pixar/disney films. I know..i think i may never grow up! Moving onto films with REAL people in, I love Garden state, as the soundtrack is simply stunning, breakfast at tiffany's, edward scissorhands (any Tim Burton films really) The list does go on but to be honest could bore you to tears. But there is one or many films that I couldn't live without and that is the wonders of the monty Python boys. Your films are just brilliant, and they make me smile to know that the world does not have too be serious all the time.. :) |
| Favorite music | It does indeed vary. Some people say It is very chill out, and the fact classical will sometimes be heard from afar, with the sounds a 50's/60's. But here is a round up: Gomez (my favourites!) , A Fine Frenzy, R.E.M, Bat for Lashes, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Beach boys, The Hollies, Temper Trap, Ingrid Michaelson, Laura Marling, Loving Beady Eye at the moment with that 60's feel, beth Rowley, Bombay bicycle club, Jamiroquai, Jose Gonzalez, Keane, Villagers, Mumford & sons...and the list does on... |
| Favorite books | Well at the moment it is mainly audios as reading can not be my strong point. But how can I complain, when listening to Stephen Fry's voice is a treat, aka Harry Potter! Recently i've been reading one of my good friends unpublished books of which is extremely fascinating. Hopefully soon it will be published!!! |
