| Favorite movies | Although I barely know as much about films as I do about music, I tend to be more of an elitist about it. I just can't be bothered to watch most Hollywood blockbusters since I think it's a waste of time. Anyway, I have a soft spot for independent films and like a lot of European and South-American films as well. Favourites include Donnie Darko, Lost in Translation, High Fidelity, Cidade de Deus, Reservoir Dogs, Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain, Abre Los Ojos, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, C'est Arrivé Près de Chez Vous, Ex-Drummer, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Die fetten Jahre sind vorbei, The Machinist, Heima, Elephant, Girl with the Pearl Earring, Control, Any Way the Wind Blows and The Motorcycle Diaries. |
| Favorite music | Music is my life. I like to think that my taste is pretty eclectic although that's probably not as true as I want it to be. I try to be as open-minded as possible, but hey, I'm only human so I have my favourites! The genres I enjoy most are indie pop, post-punk, post-rock, folk, shoegaze, twee and electronica. For artists, look at my last.fm profile at www.last.fm/user/Tommasi. |
| Favorite books | Books are bliss. Whenever I have nothing to do, you can probably find me with my head in a book. So far I was rather impressed with 'The Unbearable Lightness of Being' (Milan Kundera), '1984' (George Orwell), 'On the Road' (Jack Kerouac), 'High Fidelity' (Nick Hornby), 'Love in Times of Cholera' (Gabriel Garcia Marquez), 'Dead Souls' (Nikolai Gogol), 'Fever Pitch' (Nick Hornby), 'Catcher in the Rye' (JD Salinger), 'Crime and Punishment' (Fyodor Dostoevsky), 'American Psycho' (Brett Easton Ellis), 'The Alchemist' (Paulo Coelho) and 'Blindness' (José Saramago). Yeah, the classics, I know. |
