Introduction Singaporean Chinese living in the French Riveria. Married to my beloved Frenchy-J.C since 15 June 2002 and we recently became proud parents of Luke, our born 18 Feb 06' and of Leia born 21 March 08'. God is fundamental to my very existence and JC and I try our best to live our Catholic faith and we pray that we'll be good parents. Despite leaving Singapore for nearly 11 yrs since 1997, I still remain very close to my family and nothing can replace my Singaporean friendships. I still say I'm going 'home' when I'm planning a trip to Singapore and have not lost my Singaporean accent despite the 6 yrs living in UK and currently 6th yr in France. Travel is my passion. Before I embark on a new destination, I love doing research on the place and I get a real buzz planning the holiday from flights, hotels, putting together a sightseeing itineary etc. Love the joy of discovering new places and this links to my other passion FOOD ! JC always teases me that food dominates my daily life and I'll be planning the dinner menu whilst still having lunch ! Love reading menus at restaurants ! Also passionate about Shopping, my favourite sport and pastime, typical Singaporean girl !
Favorite Movies Am a contradiction cos although I love classic stuff like Emma, Sense of Sensibility, Little Women I also like watching brainless teenage angst movies like Never been kissed, Clueless, cheesy I know but good fun and no brain cells lost. Am a fan of Bridget Jones as well and movies like Love Actually, anything with Hugh Grant acting like a bumbling Englishman ;) Also liked the blockbusters like Matix, Lord of the Rings Trilogy and anything by Ang Lee.
Favorite Music Mainly pop person, anything catchy playing on the radio. Better varied taste since I like Norah Jones, Cranberries, Weezer, admit to liking Boy Bands like Boyzone heh heh. Also into french music by Axelle Red, Marc Lavoine, Laurent Voulzy. I also like good ole classics by Carpenters, Abba, Bee Gees, Air Supply, music my dad played when I was growing up.
Favorite Books Same as movies I like Classics but also into chick lit by India Knight, Mariam Keyes, Sophie Kinsella. Murakami, Tony Parsons, are also favs. Also love travel biographies especially humourous ones like Bill Bryons stuff and also accounts of people living/settling in France. Also into Harry Potter and biographies of Chinese women settling in the West and accounts of the Chinese Cultural Revolution. Also think Indian authors Rock !
