| Introduction | I am a Professor of Early American, Atlantic, and Digital History and Archaeology at the University of Rochester. I've been researching historic properties and excavating sites in Bermuda, Virginia, and Ghana since 1991. I've written three books on Bermuda's history and architecture: Bermuda's Architectural Heritage: St. George's (BNT, 1998; 2nd edition 2025), In The Eye of All Trade: Bermuda, Bermudians, and the Maritime Atlantic World, 1684-1783 (OIEAHC/Chapel Hill, 2010), and Isle of Devils, Isle of Saints: An Atlantic History of Bermuda, 1609-1684 (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2022). |
