Introduction | I am an average working family man that used to run mostly 10 km road races at recreational level. In 2003, when I was 23 and weighing only 72kg I ran my personal best of 40:15. I came so close to breaking 4 min/km, but then the dreaded ITB hit me, and never left for over 10 years. Now, turning 36 this year and carrying an extra 10kg around the middle, I am finally running again. My aim is to break my personal best of 13 years ago, and go a step further... breaking the ever elusive 40 min mark. For a lot of you this is training pace, but for the average Joe/Jane (like me) it remains a dream. Follow me to see whether I can make it a reality. |
