About me

Introduction My name is Allie, and I am a undergrad student at UMass Amherst studying Biochemistry and Microbiology. When I am not studying or in class, I am actively involved in an honors independent study, a member of the University’s softball team, and a volunteer at the Emergency Room at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. My research interests include physical and medical sciences, specifically pertaining to cancer studies, biochemistry, and signaling pathways. The purpose of this blog serves to educate people about the influence of microbes and human activities on climate change. The climate change to which I am referring to is global warming, which is presently an issue of great concern to many scientists and environmentalists worldwide. The constant rise in global annual temperatures is threatening the natural environment and the human population. Clear solutions to the rising temperatures are still few and far in between, as restrictions are making advancements in global warming studies hard to obtain. With that said, the human population needs to adapt and cooperate in the fight to slow down climate change, specially by making sacrifices in their everyday activities.
