| Introduction | My Name is Dhurba Shrestha. I am a Development Worker working for education and health especially to the women, girls and children of socially excluded groups. Working for the best interest of children is my greatest passion in life and my professional dream is to someday be a child rights specialist. When I was a child, I especially looked up to my parents, thought of my mother as my protector. She was a very important role model for me and I want very much to give my all efforts to ensure child rights in my community as she did for me. I always thought how I could better use my life to make this dream come true – providing education and health opportunities and ensuring the rights of children. I want to help my community to better understand child rights issues and take advantage of the enormous possibilities of government programs and policies that are designed to ensure child’s rights. |
