Introduction | Bill Bongle is a 26 year veteran of the Green Bay Police Department and serves as District Captain. He manages a team of patrol, neighborhood officers, and community service interns. Bill coauthored, “Street Sweeping, Broadway Style” a project which won the Herman Goldstein Award for work in reducing public intoxication and antisocial behavior through problem solving. Bill is a strong proponent of community engagement and problem solving and believes that these philosophies are as tough on crime as anything we have tried. He also believes that delivering good customer service is the key to the success of modern police. As a training consultant, Bill formed Innovative Policing Solutions to promote these philosophies. He has been training police officers since 1999 and has presented at conferences across the U.S. and the U.K. His views are his own and do not necessarily represent those of any other organization. |
