| Introduction | ABOUT ME: I have been fly fishing and fishing in general ever since I was a nipper. From the river Dee and Spey in Scotland, the river Wye in Wales, rivers Taw and Torridge in Devon and the classic chalk streams Itchen and Test in Hampshire I am totally addicted to this sport. I often visit my local trout fishery too now and again with my son Teyte whose now six and is really taking to the sport. I have also fished abroad in such countries as Mexico, Costa Rica, Florida Keys and BC Canada. Over the years I have often noticed bamboo fly rods and reels hanging up over fireplaces in Devonshire pubs and in fishing rooms and now am a great lover of the bamboo fly fishing scene. At the beginning of 2012 I started setting up a cottage industry 'Firefly - Traditional Bamboo Fly rods' with an aim to bring this sport from an enthusiast too enthusiasts of fly fishing. |
