| Introduction | I've been a teacher for a decade and although I've considered other professions (librarian, midwife, jedi), when I walk into a classroom it feels like home. I like to laugh, chat over a meal, and hiking around the forest. I love camping and snapping photos outdoors. I like to explore new places. I think it's important to listen to and share personal stories. I'm a storyteller in training and I'm currently writing my first book. |
| Interests | I love libraries (the smell, the silence, the energy of all that knowledge), organic fairtrade coffee, spending time with kids, my dogs, most kinds of music, and I find gardening a great way to meditate, photography (I was published in National Geographic Adventure Magazine!), scrapbooking, making soap, reading, hiking and camping, and traveling to beautiful corners of the world. |

| Favorite music | I'm really into Brazilian music at the moment. There is something mesmerizing about the Portuguese language. |
| Favorite books | I finally broke down and read the Twilight Series. One more to go... I love young adult fiction, especially historical fiction. |
