| Introduction | In the beginning there was a blank screen. Then the first letter was typed, after which came a flood of words. For me, writing represents a way of gathering my thoughts and finding order and coherence. I suspect this is a temporary impulse. Somehow I anticipate that, in the end, like the quiet atmosphere of the Ozu films that represent exercises in meditation, I may wish to return to simple forms. |
