| Introduction | Welcome to 'TygrLilies'! This is the place where I post pics and tell stories about my latest hobby,-designing and crafting unique custom dolls in the amigurumi style. Y'know, all I wanted was a little hobby. Something productive to do while I waited for my boys to get out of school...or karate...or swimming...you get the picture? Thanks to YouTube and the Internet, I was able to teach myself how to crochet. Now, don't get me wrong, Gramma showed me how to make a chain when I was about 7 yrs old,...and that was about it. Now really, what can you do with a 5 ft long single crochet chain? Then I came upon Amigurumi- the japanese word/technique for crochet dolls. Oh, how cute! To my surprise I developed a knack for it and was delighted with my new skills. Well, from then on I was, if you'll pardon the expression, hooked. |
