Introduction	An Englishman living in Nashville, TN - a natural home for a music journalist and amateur guitarist with a penchant for C&W and the author of several country music books including Shania Twain's biography. In the late '90s I travelled the world for CMT and CBS as PR Director and spent most of my life on planes, in hotels and attending meetings but spent any free time exploring so many different cultures. Now we can all do the same via the Internet's global access- incredible. A football/soccer fan who grew up watching his team relegated and promoted with terrible frequency who learned to appreciate the game for itself and is blessed to have seen George Best, Bobby Moore, Glenn Hoddle, Kevin Keegan and Mr Beckham live and in their prime. Not bad huh! The World Cup is not just another sporting event and I will be endeavoring to explain this to my wife in the summer!
