| Introduction | I am a Yankee hater through and through. I grew up in the '80s as a Met fan rooting for Mookie, Mex, Carter, Straw, Doc, and the rest of the '86 team. I hated the Yankees back then too, but they never won anything anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. They had the Stump Merrill era, when they finished in the AL East cellar. Then came the mid '90s and all that changed. The spending got out of control, and after winning it all a couple of times they became arrogant jerks, and that's when my hatred intensified. Now I hate them so much that I couldn't care less what happens to the Mets - all my energy goes into rooting against the Junkees. So what team and I am fan of? Whichever team has the best chance of beating them. |
