| Introduction | Well, I became fasinated with the breed as a child, by a Basset named "Gosha." She was a wonderful companion and had a definate bassetude. She lived to be 14 years old. I knew after meeting her that Bassets stole my heart. I also loved the Dukes of Hazzard my favorite actor of course was, "Flash." As an adult I got my first Basset 4 years ago. She is so lovely and she and our family immediately bonded. I knew that I was in love with the breed after a year or so and started doing my research to find the best breeder for me. I stumbled accross Windsock Bassets and then came my 2nd Basset Penny. Penny is a fabulous girl, very beautiful and such a loving companion. After Penny I started my dog show career and started helping the rescue. I fostered two Bassets, Princess Fiona (who my mom now owns) and Harley who was adopted out to a great family who loves him very much. Next, I searced and found Polly, she is 8 months old and already doing nicely in the show ring. Outside of Bassets (the little time I have) I work as a nurse for an Assisted Living where I've been for 10 1/2 years now. |
